Diet for Hair Growth

Some home remedies for hair growth focus on the diet and hair growth. Recommendations include sesame seeds to increase magnesium and calcium. Increasing daily consumption of yogurt, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and sprouts as well as buttermilk, protein, whole grains, nuts and milk can increase hair growth by limiting nutritional and dietary deficiencies.

Herbs for Hair Growth

Rinsing your hair in apple cider vinegar can promote hair growth according to natural healers.

Saw Palmetto extract is believed by home remedy experts as a successful treatment to reduce prostrate enlargement but has the side effect of improving hair growth.

Gingko Biloba is believed to improve circulation and stimulate hair growth.

Stinging Nettle extract is also considered to be an effective home remedy for hair growth as it is considered to be an effective blocker for the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

Alma oil, from the Indian gooseberry fruit is said to be an effective natural treatment for hair growth. Alma oil is high in vitamin C which improves circulation and the alma oil is also said to deepen the color of the hair. A tonic of dry alma pieces boiled in coconut oil can be added to the scalp to improve hair growth. Equal parts of lime juice and alma juice can be used as a shampoo to improve hair quality and improve hair growth.

Hair paste made from honey, cinnamon powder and hot olive oil added to the hair before a bath, can remedy hair growth naturally.
