Everyone wants to have gorgeous shiny hair that looks perfect on a sunny day. Shiny hair reflects our general health. Sometimes people get so tied up within their own lives that they forget to take care of their hair. The hair follicles need just as much attention as the skin around the body. Home remedies for shiny hair can be found in your very own home and are not difficult to prepare.

So many people go to expensive hair stylists, or purchase numerous salon creams and conditioners that are overpriced. Why not use a hair health remedy? Some of the best home remedies for shiny hair are stated below.

•    Basically most food items that have vitamin benefits can be helpful for your hair. If your hair has lost that natural shine then try Mayonnaise. Apply Mayonnaise to the scalp and massage it in. Mayonnaise has some great essential oils that will work to soften the skin and scalp, as well as to encourage hair growth in the hair follicles. Thoroughly rinse off after 30 minutes and allow the hair to dry naturally.

•    Believe it or not, beer can be a great hair growth promoter if you need a hair loss home remedy. The yeast in beer can be great if applied to the scalp and hair. It does need to be rinsed off after 30 minutes or else you will smell like a brewery. Use your own shampoo and conditioner afterwards and allow the hair to dry naturally.

•    Olive oil is also an amazing home remedy for hair. It can soften the hair and rejuvenate its shine once more. Pour some olive oil into a cup and place it in the microwave for a few minutes until warm. Make sure the oil is not scalding or overly hot as this can be painful and damage the hair follicles. Apply the warm Olive oil to the scalp and massage it in. Sit with the oil on the hair and scalp for approximately an hour. Rinse off the oil and allow the hair to dry naturally.

•    Mix honey and water together for a shiny hair home remedy. The nutrients within the honey can be extremely beneficial for the hair. Make sure to dilute the honey enough so that it is a liquid form and not in clumps. Apply to the hair and scalp for 20 to 30 minutes and rinse it off. You can then apply vinegar as the last rinse of the hair for that extra bounce and shine.

•    Avoid drying your hair with a hairdryer. The reason why a lot of us suffer from hair loss or dry hair is because we keep drying it with hot air. When possible, allow your hair to dry naturally or try drying it with cold air which is usually accessible through a hairdryer’s switches. Take all the moisture out of the hair with a regular towel and then place another towel around your neck to protect you from getting any chills. Only do this if you are in a heated area, as a cold environment can bring on a common cold or flu when having wet hair.

Please remember to be aware that some home remedies can cause allergic reactions to the body and skin. Always ask your doctor about any new home remedy treatment that you might want to start.
