Each time you have a sore gum always remember plaque. The relationship between sore gums and plaque is like that of HIV and AIDs, one leads to the other. First, plaque builds up on your teeth along your gum lines, it irritates the gum tissues, causes them to turn reddish and swell.

If you are familiar with any of these instances in your mouth, then you are without a doubt suffering from sore gums which may at first seem as just a gum disorder but in the end, it creates more problems than you can ever imagine. For instance it can deprive you of your beautiful smile as each time you will have to laugh your heart out, you will always be in the fear of if your gums are bleeding or not.

Fortunately there are simple sore gums home remedy solutions that can treat the condition and restore your gums back to normal. But the first sore gums home remedy solution does not involve mixing anything for a healthy gum. It is all about your toothbrush and how you use it. Start by changing your tooth brush before you can think of any sore gums home remedy solution. Use a soft bristle toothbrush to get rid of all the plaques on your gums. When brushing your teeth, do not be in hurry to do so. Make sure that your toothbrush rests on your teeth but also touches the gums. Then brush and take up to five minutes brushing your teeth.

A mixture of salt and baking powder may be used an alternative to toothpaste and commercially manufactured mouth washes. Just mixt equal parts of baking soda and salt in any small bowl or container and keep the solution in your bathroom for use any time you want to brush your teeth. Pour just half a teaspoon of the solution in your palm and dip a moistened toothbrush in it then use it to brush your gum line.

Massaging your sore gums is also an effective sore gums home remedy. But when massaging, use the liquids from any vitamin E capsule of just a small portion of witch hazel after brushing. Rub the gums in a circular motion using your index finger. Make sure that you massage all the way from the gum meeting points to the inner parts of your cheeks or lips. If you do not know how, ask your dentist to show you how the next time you visit his or her clinic.

Then remember that diet plays a major role when it comes to gum health. Avoid too much sugar in your diet and keep off candy and chocolates. If you have to consume them, then do so but then brush your teeth well. Highly processed foods like white bread should also be avoided.  They encourage plaque buildup which is not good for your dental health at all.

Increase your consumption or rather intake of whole grains or any of their products like whole wheat bread. Foods that are rich in vitamin C and fresh fruits should also be included in your diet. They are good for health gums as well as your general wellbeing. Then remember to have frequent visits to the dentist.
