Acne is one of the most common causes of oily skin. We all know that one way of dealing with it is washing you face well. But washing your face is never enough and over washing on the other hand is unhealthy, which leaves us in dilemma. Well, all you have to do is to use skin oils with natural ingredients. Some facial scrubs and wash have chemicals that affect with the Ph balance and can only end up giving you that oily skin you are trying to avoid.

Citrus essential oils are one of the best home remedies for oily skin.  Grape fruit, lemon, orange and tangerine will treat your skin well without letting the harsh ingredients come in contact with your skin. All you need to do is to get is a purely natural herbal lotion base. Then add three of four drops of it to every ounce of the citrus essential oils of your choice. Aloe Vera gel or witch hazel seems to be the best herbal lotion for this purpose. For best results, apply this remedy every night before going to bed. Then in the morning wash you face with a mild antibacterial soap before you can apply any facial application to your skin.

Scrubbing is also one of the best home remedy for oily skin. But when scrubbing, you should only use scrubbing products that are specifically meant for oily skin. Scrub but then again do not overdo it. In fact too much exfoliating will make your body to produce more oils for your skin.

Avoid moisturizers at all costs. Even the ones that claim to have natural oils in them. They will only worsen the condition. The oil your skin products is enough to act as a natural moisturizer. All you need to do is to wipe your face with an astringent for oily skin.
