Acne is a common skin condition that affects men and women of all races. The problem normally begins at puberty as that is the time when the body is undergoing major hormonal changes. Acne normally develops when the hair follicles which carry dead skin to the surface of the skin becomes clogged. Acne manifests itself as cysts, tiny pimples, papules and nodules.
It is more common in women than in men due to the monthly hormonal changes that they experience. It affects skin areas that have more sebaceous glands like the face, upper arms, and shoulders. If you are at puberty, just be patient with the condition. At around twenty, the hormones will have balanced themselves out and you have less or no more acne. Avoid trying all sorts creams and lotions on your face to get rid of acne. That could lead to scarring which is yet another difficult condition to treat.

Eating a balanced diet on the other hand will ensure that you get all the necessary nutrients required for a healthy skin. Then remember that with every herbal acne cure that you use, you have to avoid touching the acne every now and then. Resist the urge to touch the affected area as that can cause reinfection and worsen the condition.

Fenugreek and cucumber packs can also be used as herbal acne cures. Alternatively you can dilute lemon juice with mint and apply the mixture directly on the skin. You have to be careful though with this solution as lemon can irritate the skin if overused. When that happens simply discontinue its use and consider other solutions.
Plain yogurt can also be sued to get rid of acne. It is good for the skin as it can supply it with nutrients and ample probiotics thus preventing your skin from becoming excessively oily. Just apply plain yoghurt on your face for about 15 to twenty minutes or as long as you like since it has no side effect at all. Then wash it off with cold water. If your acne is too stubborn, discontinue the herbal acne cures and consult a dermatologist.
