We all suffer from dry skin every now and then, and it can depend on your skin type, what we eat, what we drink, and even the weather. Many times a cold harsh winter can cause chapped lips, dry skin and flaky scalp. This can also happen when we are exposed to too much sun.

Sun rays can burn and damage our skin in the form of sunburns. It is very important to wear sun block on the skin whenever you are out in the sun, and find a strong sunburn treatment to quickly address any major burns experienced. This can prevent any sun damage from developing in the future. There are many natural beauty remedies for dry skin that can help rejuvenate the skin and make it feel smoother.  It is much healthier to try a remedy for dry skin before you try any medication. Always consult with your doctor or a specialist before undertaking a new treatment program.

Some dry skin home remedies are:

•    Try using avocados to bring the oil back into your face. Scoop out the inside of the avocados and mix it in a bowl. Use a fork or spoon to mush up the mixture. Avocados are a great source of oil and can make your face or body feel healthy again.

•    Avoid using soap too much. It can dry out the skin immensely. If you have oily skin it is ok, but if you have dry skin, you should ask your doctor about the best showering and bathing solution for you.

•    Drink a lot of water. Over time and as we age, we dehydrate more. The daily toxins we encounter can make our skin feel dry. Water works from the inside out and is a fabulous remedy for dry skin. Many people forget to drink over eight glasses a day. It is a life source that is extremely important for us to maintain optimal health.

•    Olive oil has many amazing properties. Take a table spoon of it and massage it into your face. Allow it to sit for approximately twenty minutes. It is best to wash it off to prevent you from getting an oily build up. The main goal of using Olive oil is to replenish the oil that has been lost. People have all types of skin, some oily, some dry. There are ways to treat either situation.

•    Use honey to heal and smooth the skin. It can exfoliate the skin while rejuvenating it. If you have a very serious case of dry skin, use honey on the area and apply some sort of bandage, or band aid, depending on the size. Honey is one of the best natural remedies for dry skin.

•    Drink Green tea for softer skin. Green tea is an antioxidant, as well as a skin moisturizer from the inside out. If you do not like the taste, try chamomile tea which also calms the system and relieves tension.

•    Try drinking whole milk. Some people may not be able to drink whole milk because of a lactose intolerance condition, but it does help relieve the irritation of dry skin.

It is not necessary to spend money on expensive treatments. Just look in the kitchen and you will find numerous home remedies. Always check with your doctor in case you have any allergies.
