Garlic should be your ultimate home remedy for stubborn yeast infections if you have tried out all the popular yeast infection home remedies. You can use garlic in your diet or eat small pieces with some water. But the use of garlic as a direct treatment is one of the most useful and popular home remedies for yeast infections
There are basically two ways to use garlic to treat a yeast infection, one is directly internal and the other in a douche. For internal use, peel a clove of garlic, wrap it in a gauze or cheesecloth and make sure you close it good. If necessary you can lubricate your tampon with olive oil or any natural oil. Insert it into your vagina and make sure a piece of the cloth stays out so you can pull it out later. Try out this remedy before you go to sleep and leave it there for the night. For more serious infections use a fresh clove every morning and night. For douching, cut some cloves of garlic in pieces and crush or bruise them by laying a kitchen knife flat on top of them and push or hit the flat part of the blade. This makes it easier for the juice to come out. Put them in a good amount of water, stir it and leave it for a few minutes. You can use this as a douche, it might sting a little but it is very effective. Make sure you clean and dry everything afterward
