Genetic Disorders

Genetic Conditions

Genetic conditions refer to illnesses that result from certain abnormalities in genes or chromosomes. In general, genetic conditions or diseases are treated by geneticists, who consult on diagnosis and symptom treatment. Many genetic conditions are incurable. However, genetic research has led to amazing breakthroughs in treatment methods and early detection to help minimize symptoms fr many genetic disorders.

Although many genetic disorders appear in people who have predispositions for the disorder, many are not necessarily hereditary.

Further, some genetic disorders are a result of environmental factors and not simply ‘genetic coding abnormalities’.
