Cure for diaper rash Submitted by osolovelyangel
On a tight budget? Really don't have the extra money for expensive diaper ointment? I figured this out with my first child. You can get this at the nearest Dollar store. To treat a diaper rash you must change the baby often throughout the day. Especially on hot days and try to change them right after they dirty them, so they don't sit in it. After you get them all cleaned up make sure they are completely dried off then use petroleum jelly the best kind is the ones made for babies. Regular petroleum jelly does work but not as good. After applying the petroleum jelly put on regular baby powder. Do this after each time you change the diaper. At night try to make sure you put alot on so there's enough applied to last all night long. Keep using it until its all cleared up. You should be able to notice the difference within a day or two. It can take up to a week to completely heal the diaper rash. I've been doing this for at least 6 years now and it has worked everytime. It may take awhile but I promise this will clear it up. If its been longer then at least two weeks then it may be time to consult a doctor.

Aloe Vera is safe to use and can offer some relief from diaper rash. It’s antibacterial, antifungal, and very soothing for many types of skin irritations.
